Skill testing

Mates Global appreciates its role in testing the skills of candidates to find those individuals that will perform in a manner that wholly meets or exceeds the requirements of the position. 

Pre-employment assessments may include testing any or all of these factors:

  • Physical or cognitive ability
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Personality
  • Personal judgment
  • Sales comprehension
  • Verbal or numerical reasoning
  • Language, literacy and numeracy capabilities.

Skills testing may be conducted on an ad-hoc basis, in isolation, or as part of a broader recruitment strategy to fit within our Clients’ existing organisational procedures and requirements.

Interview stage

We perform a thorough face-to-face interview where the focus is on the competency of the candidate. The interviewers ask candidates a list of standard questions, and every candidate going through the interview process (for that particular position) will be asked exactly the same questions; ensuring the process is objective and fair.

We also place key importance on finding candidates that both appreciate and fit in with the culture of our Client’s organisation.

Pre-employment checks

We conduct vigorous security, medical history, reference and immigration status background checks, as required.
